Junior Umpires

A NOTE FROM THE JUNIOR UMPIRE COORDINATOR

All coaches, managers and parents please be aware that if a junior umpire i.e a green shirt, is umpiring a game abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
There have been a number of complaints from our umpires about coaches, managers and parents arguing decisions and trying to over rule the umpires. Junior umpires are learning and therefore may make a mistake but during a game is not the time to complain. If you have constructive comments by all means let the umpire know after the game or if you have a complaint please see a committee member.
Your understanding in this matter would be appreciated.

Also junior umpires can be booked by calling me before Wednesday evening of the week before the game.
Thankyou,
Sarah Allen

Photos

Visit our photos page to view a selection of photos of games being played around the diamonds.

If parents have photos that they would like displayed on the website they can forward them to the Webmaster via email with information regarding the age group and the date the game was played.

**All photos displayed on the WJTBC website are displayed in accordance with the club's privacy policy.**

Also parents are asked to keep in mind the following which was printed in the first newsletter of the season.

**The taking of photos at children’s sport is becoming a very sensitive issue. Parents are reminded that
non-identifying photos of players may be displayed on the WJTBC website or in the newsletter. Only committee members are allowed to take photos of all games being played while parents are only allowed to take photos of their own children. It is suggested that parents speak to their team and the opposing team to let them know of their intention to take photos of their child as others may appear in the photos. We hope that a common sense approach is taken with this issue by parents and that if any issues arise you speak directly to a committee member.**

President's Message

Welcome to the 2008/2009 season, this is our Club's 33rd year. Your committee’s focus this year is to encourage more children to play tee ball.

We continue our promise to return $30 per child to your school’s P&C for any new teams formed by the school. Teams must consist of a minimum of 10 new players of the same age group.

This year, registration fees for the first child playing from a family will see an increase to $95.00.  For any subsequent children, the fee will be $90.00 each.  As in the past, a photo and a trophy are included in the fees.

For more information regarding the 08/09 season please read the whole message here

Fundraising Opportunity

How to both fundraise and help the environment with little effort

Orbital is seeking volunteers to loan their cars for a Federal Government program to test the emissions of vehicles in service.
If you loan your vehicle to Orbital, they will pay you $75 a day for two to four days, typically $150 to $300 total. To get this you need to loan your car for emission testing. This involves a gentle drive of about 100 km on a chassis dyno (rolling road) while the emissions are measured.  The car will be fully insured and a loan car can be arranged.
In addition, your fuel tank will be filled before your car is returned to you regardless of how much fuel it has in it when it is received.

As an added bonus, an additional $25 will be paid directly to WJTBC.
